軍艦島

如果你問我，我覺得地球上有甚麼超現實的場景，我的首選會是軍艦島。

軍艦島原名端島，位於日本長崎市對出海面。十九世紀開始，三菱於島上開設煤礦，高鋒時期島上有五千多名居民。1974年三菱關閉煤礦，同年4月20日島民全員撤離。居民撤離後，島上遺留下密密麻麻又了無人氣的混凝土大樓。經過時間沖刷，化成如今令人震懾的龐大廢墟。

廢墟代表孤獨和衰落，同時又充滿魅力，有種令人著魔的力量。可能因為廢墟的存在，讓人可以自由地回憶，甚至想像，當中發生過的一切悲傷又美好的事情。這種想像多麼的隨心所欲，卻活像有根有據一樣。

可惜，廢墟終究會老，終究有一天，有人會覺得他妨礙社會進步，然後把他親手殺掉。最後，新城市蓋起來，欣欣向榮，前途一片美好。至於原來的廢墟，就讓他煙沒在潔淨無痕當中吧。因為廢墟並不會引領我們到任何地方去，留戀其中只不過是一種沉淪，註定沒有好結果。

這首歌是U2為記念北愛爾蘭的流血星期日事件而創作的。影片末段所提及的人名是另一場北愛爾蘭炸彈襲擊(Omagh Bombing)的受害者。

心血來潮，我翻查一下萬年曆，發現那場所謂「春夏之交的政治風波」，也恰巧發生在星期天。我看見U2和歌迷們可以大大聲唱Sunday Bloody Sunday。我們呢？18年過去了，現在的主流態度反而是沉默和逃避。這算不算是一種退步？
